Serge Kogan

In his role as an of counsel for Law Offices of Olga Zalomiy, Mr. Kogan’s practice primarily focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance counseling, and cross-border joint ventures.He is bilingual in both Russian and English.

Mr. Kogan was born in Moscow, Russia. In 1992, he graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a B.A. in History. Mr. Kogan received his J.D. cum laude from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School in 1995. Following his graduation from law school, Mr. Kogan served as a Judicial Clerk for the Honorable Rex. E. Armstrong of the Oregon Court of Appeals. Mr. Kogan is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and California. Throughout his career, Mr. Kogan has practiced law at some of the largest and most prestigious international law firms, while based in the U.S. and Russia.

Serge Kogan is also the founding principal of Kogan & Associates. Kogan & Associates is an independent law firm focusing on the representation of clients (including start-up and multinational companies) in general corporate and commercial transactional matters in such industries as oil and gas, technology, financial services, and consumer goods. The Firm specializes on managing cross-border merger and acquisition transactions, both on the buy and sell-side, in private and public sectors, with a strong focus on complex structural and corporate issues pertaining to acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures.
